About this campaign
We rescued Daisy in late March 2022. She was a stray from New Mexico and came to Colorado with her two brothers. Since rescuing her, she has been our protector. We live in the Boulder foothills and she ensures nothing enters our property without us knowing it! She has been a health, happy girl from the moment we brought her home, up until her recent cancer diagnosis.
Daisy loves her family. She sleeps with her mom and dad every night and wakes her human sisters up every morning. She naps and plays all day long with her doggy sister, Mia, and walks the neighborhood loop everyday with us. She watches over our 1 acre property like a hawk. She LOVEs to eat any food she can find and LOVES frozen bone marrows. One of her favorite games is playfully chasing our cat.
Daisy has a loud voice! She uses her voice to protect us every day, all day. She LOVES snuggling with her mom and dad. She loves her toy moose and alligator and lies on her back with them straight in the air for several minutes. If she gets the chance, she would run the whole neighborhood looking for deer and turkey. She is a true mountain dog!
Daisy was diagnosed with T-Cell Lymphoma on 9/27/23. She received all urgent and diagnostic care via CSU teaching hospital. We will be seeing Dr. Galloway with Colorado Animal Specialty and Emergency and plan to start chemotherapy week of 10/2/2023. Daisy will also be seeing Dr Questen with Aspen Park Vet Hospital in Conifer for holistic medicine.
My husband lost his job a couple years ago and has started a new job that is 100% commission based so our income is limited. I am a stay at home mom and I work limited hours in health care. While Daisy may never be fully cured, we want to help her fight this the best we can.
