A few months before my sister died by suicide, she gave me Daiyziee, a tiny black-and-brown schnauzer with not a speck of white. Ironically, she’s completely white now. I was struggling on disability then, and Daiyziee became my joy, my purpose, and eventually my service dog. She still prances through the house smiling like she owns it...because she does. 🐾

My 9½-year-old miniature schnauzer, Daiyziee, is my service dog and lifeline. Daiyziee lives for “bye bye” rides. The second she hears keys jingle, she bursts into squealy little barks of excitement. She loves cartoons, loses her mind over doorbells on TV or in real life, and if you tell her “no,” prepare for an argument. She absolutely has to get the last word every single time. 🐾😂
