My name is Dakota. My father is a purebred rottweiler that my loving humans rescued from a local farm, in a very abusive and neglectful situation. My wonderful humans even rescued and rehomed my aunt's and grandparents! Unfortunately, time was not on our side, and my dad got a little too friendly with my rottsky mother. I had 2 brothers and a sister that also went to great homes!

While living with my father and mother, I get to be a handful sometimes. It's always play time! I sometimes get to be a little too crazy, and which is how I hurt myself. While playing with mom and dad, I had jumped and turned. When landing I hurt my poor leg and tore my ACL. I am a tough boy but I want to get back to playing on all 4 legs with mom and dad. I hate not being able to play and limping

I am a very loving boy! I spend a lot of time cuddling with my mother and father, but I also know when my humans need love too! I am always quick to greet people coming in the door, but I can also be a little stubborn at times. My humans also have 2 small humans that I love to play with, and the one human is a bit smaller than I am. She can be quite crazy, just like me! I can't wait to play again!

Unfortunately due to a nasty custody battle that has been ongoing for 7+ years now, I have been diagnosed with severe anxiety and depression. This makes daily tasks very difficult! My dogs are my life, and probably the only reason I'm still alive.
