Dallas is a 3.5-year-old German Shepherd in indianapolis, IN, who needs $2,000 for Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO).

I had a Shih Tzu for 18 yrs. We had to put him because his quality of life was poor. My daughter talked me into getting a German Shepherd. I was a BIG change for us. The adjustment from a small dog to a large dog was rough. He is now 3.5 yrs old and I cant imagine not having him around. He follows us everywhere we go!

Dallas is a VERY social Shepherd. He LOVES people. He is happy, energetic, and loves to be outdoors in our large yard playing. He also is crazy about going for a car ride and hanging his head out the window. Kids in the neighborhood will come throw the ball for him to retrieve. He loves learning new commands and playing with puzzles.

Dallas is very protective and wants to be everywhere we are. Although he is 100lbs, he loves to jump up in our beds or on the couch with us. We also have a cat that he will allow to snuggle with him occasionally. He loves to have his ears rubbed and makes the funniest groaning noises when he seems to be bored or wants attention.

Dallas has a full ACL tear in his left knee. He also has a partial tear in his right knee which we have been told will need operated on soon too. Dr. Stauffer of Stauffer Veterinary Surgical Center in Fishers, Indiana will be his Surgeon. He wants to perform TPLO procedure to the left knee as soon as possible.

Single mother, income dropped 10k/yr. Several new medical bills for myself already this year. We love Dallas very much and want to help relieve his pain. He is a wonderful, loving, fun dog. My daughter will be heartbroken if we have to give him up or put him down.
