My name is Daphne, and I'm a sweet old girl found lying on the side of a road in the middle of nowhere. My vision and hearing aren't what they used to be. I was scared, alone, and wondering if anyone would come to save me.

After what felt like an eternity, something wonderful happened - someone rescued me and took me home!

She listed me on a yard sale site as free, but still, no one claimed me as their own. That's when One by One Animal Advocates stepped in to help and took me to the vet. My eyes were goopy and I couldn't see properly. The vet confirmed that it was entropion - something causing me a lot of discomfort.

I also had a painful limp in my front left leg, which made them think I might have been hit by a car. To top it off, my skin was so itchy it felt like fire ants were crawling all over me. My teeth hurt too, which made eating difficult.

Thanks to some amazing humans, I now feel so much better!

They gave me medicine, bathed and wrapped me in cozy blankets. It's incredible how much of a difference they've made in my life.

I can't believe that there are people out there who care about dogs like me. Despite being older, they saw my worth and gave me a second chance in my golden years.
