I saw Darla’s picture on Grant Parish Sheriff's Office animal control post. She was picked up as a stray, wasn’t claimed so she went into their foster to adopt program. Her sweet eyes caught my attention and she was so docile and loving. My 4 yr old had been asking for a female dog that could be “hers” and after meeting this love bug I knew my daughter needed to as well.

At Pineville Pet Hospital in Pineville, LA, Darla tested positive for heart and tape worms, a skin/fungal infection, both ears were infected all which have been or are actively being treated since bringing her home. The biggest concern and need for help is for an orthopedic surgery to repair a torn CCL to her back left leg (equivalent to a human ACL). Poor baby lies around most of the day.

The look of love and gratitude this girl gives on a constant basis melts your heart. From day one, she took to my youngest and that is her person now. She fits in so well with our family, it’s like we’ve had her since a puppy. From the time we brought her home, our other 3 dogs and here were an instant pack. Poor thing can’t run/play like she wants to with them because of her torn ligament.
