About this campaign

Darla came into our life as a puppy who was sick and infested with fleas. After nursing her back to health she became strong and fierce. She was so dainty that we decided to name her after the little girl in Little Rascals. So Darla it was and Darla it stayed.

Darla was the only pet for years and she became very attached to her human mommy. Her human was diagnosed with cancer shortly after they got her and Darla would be by her side worryingly shaking every time she had to leave for a doctors visit. After her human got better Darla became emotional support dog and went everywhere with her.

Darla loves her family and always alerts everyone to a stranger at the door. She is small but she when she’s feeling good nothing can stop her. Throw her a squeaky toy and she’s off to get it and bring it back to you. Her humans love to dress her up but it’s not her favorite. Her favorite thing is getting in her travel bag and going places with her humans.

After her initial visit to our veterinarian, she was sent home with medication and care instructions. She has been up and down in her recovery but unfortunately the last couple days she gotten worse and is now in dire need of more veterinary care. She has lost weight, she’s unable to walk without sever pain and has a fever.

It’s always hard asking for help from others. The financial burden has become hard after Darla’s first visit. Veterinarian care is not cheap and her humans need your help in getting her better.
