I've had my one dog that I've revolved my life around and have absolutely spoiled to give him the best life. I adopted him as a 2yr old from someone who wanted to abandon him and I never learned why since he's always been a people-pleaser with obedience and affection. In our 6 years he's had regular check-ups and renewed vaccines with some environmental allergies, and nothing major until now.

I took my dog to Shiloh Animal Hospital for an urgent visit because he had vomited, couldn't walk far, had no appetite, peed where he stood as if he didn't know, and he had pale gums. The did an ultrasound and blood tests to diagnose potential bleed in the spleen but with no visible tumors and recommended splenectomy to heal his pain.

I don't know how I got so lucky and I'm hopeless knowing there won't be another dog like him who matches me so well. He doesn't bark, he's gentle with every animal he's met- even the squirrels he chases, he matches my energy day to day, and he's been so receptive to training that I take him absolutely everywhere- even at work. We do everything together and he supports me as much as I do him.

I've been quotes $8-10k for the splenectomy and more due to potential possible complications. His condition deteriorated overnight and I'm not mentally prepared to lose him. I really need some help if you can afford to give it.
