About this campaign

Dash was adopted from PA in 2018 and made the long car ride from PA to NC like a champ. He currently lives in a home with his people— his dad, his aunt, his sisters, and his furry cat cousins. He’s been healthy his whole life, until now.

He loves his family and his family loves him desperately. He sleeps with his auntie every night and he gets so excited to see his dad come home— he knows the sound of his dad’s Jeep and will jump up as soon as he hears it approach the house and then he will wag his tail and whine until dad comes inside and pays attention to him. He loves to antagonize his kitty cousins.

He loves his ball— he loves to play catch and he loves to play keep away with just about every toy. He will show it to you and act like he wants you to take it from him to play but then turn away at the last second. He gives snuggles like nobody else.

Dash is rapidly going downhill, with fluid accumulating in his chest and abdomen. We were first told he had a respiratory infection and then two weeks later told he was in heart failure, but the medicine we were given didn’t help so we sought yet another opinion and have been told he’s possibly losing protein somehow. He needs diagnostic tests and treatment to make him comfortable urgently.

Dash’s dad is recently out of work temporarily and his auntie is on a fixed disability income. This illness came at a terrible time but when somebody is part of your family you try your best for them and so that’s what Dash deserves!
