I lost my first dachshund in 2017. My neighbors all tried to console me. One neighbor offered to buy me Dax. Kayaking, boating, everywhere we go. He's been a blessing. Never had any issues until now. Excruciating pain from ruptures and a pinched nerve. The vet said he needs surgery or faces total paralysis. $10k! We r seniors on fixed income. It's impossible. Please help us, help him.

Dax is so amazing. He loves kayaking with us. Also going out on the boat. He goes everywhere with us in the car and always gets a treat at the pharmacy drive and the grocery pick up. He loves everyone he meets. He's converted non pet folks to love him. He remembers all he meets, person or animal. He's typical for his breed. Taking up the bed and loves his mealtime.

I'm on disability and spouse is retired. So living on fixed income. We are trying to sell our house because we can't pay the property taxes. The last 5 years have been a struggle due to our own health issues. I can't even fathom having to put him down due to purely money
