We rescued Dee Dee from a shelter 6 years ago. We are her 3rd and final family. She is perfect in every way. Since the minute she walked in the front door , it's like she was always supposed to have been ours. She has never chewed anything, gone to the bathroom in the house, eaten the trash, run off or even counter surfed. Still can't figure out how she ended up at the shelter 2x.

Dee Dee loves everyone she meets, especially babies. She is so gentle, she'll walk up to and wait for permission to get up in the chair or on the couch with you and then she'll put her head on your should or in your lap and she is your friend for life. When you first meet her, the first thing she will do is give you her paw as if to introduce herself.

Dee Dee loves to sit in lawn chairs. When she is outside with us, she likes to sit at the table in a chair. If you get up out of your chair, she's going to take it. When ever someone comes in the house, she will present you with a shoe (which she never chews, she just carries them around). If she can't find shoe well then she'll grab whatever is handy just to hav esomethuing for you.

Dee Dee was recently diagnosed with heartworm. We brought her and her partner in for wellness checkups and vaccines when it was discovered during a routine blood test. They performed a second test to ensure it wasn't a false positive. She will be treated at The Hickman Mills Animal Hospital in Kansas City Missouri. The vet is Dr. Scott Carlson

We have 7 grandchildren with an 8th on the way. 2 of our children are single parents that we help when we can. Between helping with our grandchildren and the rising costs of everything, this emergency is more than we can afford right now.
