Dee Dee is a 6-year-old Pit Bull in Little Rock, AR, who needs $2,000 for CHOP chemotherapy.

I began as a foster for Dee Dee and the initial plan was that I find her a permanent home. I did find her a permanent home with me. You see, Dee Dee was my soulmate & we were meant to be together. I ended up keeping her. Dee Dee was severely abused before I got her & she is still scared of most people. This can make treatment tricky but we will get through it. She has suffered enough!

Dee Dee & her brother Nero are very close. The day before we found out that she had lymphoma; we lost our 12 year old dog Lucy to cancer. We are a very close little family and they are in mourning over the loss of Lucy . When we got the call about Dee Dee, I thought I was going to pass out! I couldn’t have kids of my own so they ARE my children.
We can’t handle grieving for another dog .

I have had a rough few years. During cancer treatment, my husband left me. I was struggling already because, I am a hairstylist & don’t get paid unless I work. Then Covid Hit! Salons were closed for 3 months and i lost a lot of clients . I haven’t recovered yet!

Dee Dee was diagnosed on June14, 2021 with Multicentric Lymphoma. We She is only 6 years old so it was a shock! Dee Dee is receiving treatment at Pleasant Valley Animal Clinic in Little Rock, Arkansas with Dr. Aubren Cabe. On June 21, she began Chemotherapy and prednisone. She will need to go in once a week for 19 weeks. She has to be medicated to even go to the vet because of her fear of people.

Let me explain to you how special she is to me. As I said, she is my soulmate. She is my best friend, and when I had cancer, she was there by my side and helped get me through it. When I was in so much pain I just wanted to die, she kept me going. When I cried, she comforted me and made me feel less alone. Now it’s time for me to help her and stand by her side and get her the best treatment.
