The Sweetest Boy Needs Your Help

Deeno came to the Humane Society of Monroe County from a local vet hospital that he had been taken to as a stray with a nasty slit to his neck. This big cuddle bug is heartworm positive. They have started treatment at the shelter but would love a foster for him. It's difficult for such a big boy to be confined to a kennel. He really needs a quiet space and fluffy bed to relax on. They don't know his background, but we know his future is bright.

Deeno is being treated for heartworm at Midway Animal Hospital and his neck injury was treated at Temperance Animal Hospital. Deeno's neck has healed, and now they are working hard on taking care of his heartworm.

Deeno is very friendly with people. He is playful and loves "butt scratches". Shelter life especially with a severe injury and a serious illness can be very hard but throughout it all Deeno has maintained a good disposition and temperament. He is very happy to get time out of his kennel and loves cuddle time with anyone willing to accept his love and slobber.

As a non-profit shelter it is difficult to provide the best care needed. They need your help to provide all the proper care for Deeno and the rest of their animals. Their vet bills are far exceeding their incoming funds and they need your help. Please help Deeno on his journey to recovery because he deserves it.
