Deepa’s Wound Was Impossible to Ignore — Now She Needs Help to Fully Heal

Deepa has survived the streets her whole life, but nothing prepared her for the injury that brought her to us. When the Stray Animal Foundation of India rescue team found her, she had a deep, painful wound on her head — raw, exposed, and in urgent need of medical attention. Despite the discomfort and fear she must have been feeling, Deepa approached gently, as if she knew we were her only chance.

Our team rushed her to the clinic, where veterinarians immediately began cleaning and treating her wound. She is now safe and receiving the care she desperately needs. But this is just the beginning of Deepa’s recovery.

To fully understand the extent of her injury and protect her from complications, we must proceed with diagnostics to rule out fractures or underlying illness, continued wound care and cleaning, antibiotics and pain management and monitoring to ensure infection doesn’t spread. Deepa is sweet, trusting, and so patient with every treatment — as if she knows she’s finally in good hands.
