When the team at Stray Animal Foundation of India found him, this gentle street dog was suffering from a devastating wound around his eye, so badly infected it had become infested with maggots. The pain he endured is unimaginable, but thanks to immediate rescue efforts, the maggots were carefully removed, and Deepak was given the first round of lifesaving medications.

Diagnostics have been completed, and now he needs several weeks of intensive veterinary care to fully heal and have a chance at the safe, healthy life he deserves.

Deepak has already shown incredible courage, enduring treatment with quiet resilience, but his journey is far from over. Without continued care—including wound management, medications, and ongoing monitoring—he cannot recover.

Thanks to your generosity and the quick action of his rescuers, Deepak has received the lifesaving treatment he desperately needed. His wound has now been cleaned, closed, and is healing beautifully! Deepak has shown tremendous courage and gratitude throughout his recovery—he adores his caretakers and happily leans in for gentle head scratches every chance he gets!

Deepak has made a full and joyful recovery! His transformation is truly heartwarming—from a scared, wounded street dog to a confident, affectionate boy who now radiates happiness.

Once timid and unsure, Deepak has completely opened up. He loves people and seeks out affection at every opportunity, leaning in for cuddles and greeting everyone with his signature tail wag. He’s also become great friends with the other rescue dogs, playing and napping alongside them like he’s known them forever.
