For the first time in 23 years I was living in my childhood house by myself. No family and no pets. My best friend moved in 3 weeks later than 2 months later, after trying to adopt multiple dogs and not being quick enough, I saw Delilah and had to get her. I put in my application and got approved to adopt Delilah. It was love at first sight and I cried.

When I first got Delilah my family was all about her. She was the most fun puppy who was super hyper. We hadn't had a puppy in our lives for years so everyone loved her. As she grew in size she became even more fun to play with because she'd do this dance and it was cute. She is very solid but giving hugs is her FAVORITE thing to do. As soon as you get in the house she might pee.

I am a teacher. That should explain it all. I hardly make enough to pay for my own medical bills, let alone a surgery that they won't set up a payment plan for. It is breaking my heart.

When Delilah got out of our yard 3 weeks ago we found her limping and not being able to put any weight on her bacl leg. It is not like her to baby an injury. If she isn't in pain it will not ruin her day. She continued to not put weight on her back leg, fell up the stairs, had to be carried (70 pounds btw), couldn't jump on the bed. MedVet is reconstructing her ACL's in both knees.

Delilah's hugs and cuddles are what I look forward to when I have a bad day. She knows when I'm upset or not feeling well. If someone is crying Delilah is right there to lick the tears. If we are relaxing Delilah is right in your lap snoring and dreaming. Around my 2 year old niece she is the most gentle. They nap together all the time.
