About this campaign
Delphine and her litter siblings came to me a little over 3 years ago, as a foster group during the pandemic through Paws Chicago. As the weeks of foster care went by, I realized Delphine's forever home was with me! We now live together in my one bedroom in Wriggleyville Chicago. She loves to watch the birds through the window while perched on the top of her cat tree.
Delphine loves to watch nature from the window sills around the apartment, especially the window overlooking Graceland Cemetery. She's a very vocal kitty, always letting me know when she is ready to play or when she is ready to be left alone perching on top of her cat tree.
Delphi's favorite game to play is "treat fetch", chasing a treat down the long hallway in our apartment. She also loves to spend time rolling around in the bathtub, making sure that you don't forget to play with her while you're otherwise "occupied."
Delphine broke the radius and ulna bones in her front right leg. I took her to MedVet Chicago for emergency treatment where they took her initial x-rays and set the arm with a splint and bandage. Since surgery is way too expensive to afford, we will be going forward with weekly splint/bandage change at Logan Square Animal Hospital and managing pain with medication.
I work in the film industry as a production assistant. The strikes this year has made work very hard to come by. I have worked on a handful of independent projects, but have been nannying to make ends meet. Coming home from set to snuggle with my girl, would mean the world.
