Delta Dawn is a 10 Year Old German Shepherd Dog in Cary, NC, Who Needs $2,000 for 2x Growth Removal (small and large), Mass Biopsy.

Delta was rescued from a neglectful home in April and has spent the last eight months wagging her way into our hearts. She adores her two guinea pig siblings, and even carries around her own guinea pig stuffy like it's her baby. She used to get the zoomies when I played "Delta Dawn" by Tanya Tucker, hence her name. She finally feels safe and loved, but now needs surgery that I cannot afford alone.

Delta has been recently diagnosed with Hind Limb Edema and Pain with Bilateral Popliteal Lymphadenopathy, Chronic Allergic Dermatitis and Otitis Externa, Cutaneous Mass, and Hyporexia. She is currently taking Apoquel and Rimadyl on a daily basis to manage pain and swelling. Inflammation and pain are increasing still. She is a patient at GoodVets Apex (Raleigh).

Delta loves her guinea pig brothers more than anything, and spends lots of time cuddling them and supervising their cages. She plays tug-of-war, but only so you can chase her around the house! She guards my bedroom every night, follows me to every room, and gives kisses whenever asked. She lives for car rides in the Subaru, a bag of Beggin' Strips, and any outdoor adventure with mom.

I work two jobs to try and live comfortably already with my college debt. Delta's surgery would give her 4-5 more comfortable, pain-free years where she can walk well again.
