Dewey is a 2-year-old American Bulldog Mix in Apple Valley, CA, who needs $1,500 for Toxicity Treatment.

Dewey came into my life unexpectedly. My sister and I went to just browse the shelter and dewey picked me. He was sticking his paw out of the kennel and howling at us. Dewey instantly connected with us. Just one day later we adopted Dewey. Dewey is an indoor dog, but he loves to sun bathe in the sun on warm days. Dewey also enjoys swimming at my moms house on the weekends.

Dewey is a love bug who loves to cuddle. He is genuinely unaware that he's a big dog because he'll try to sit on anybody's lap and lay his head on your chest. He loves meeting new people and making new dog friends. He's inviting and anyone who meets him loves him immediately. He truly is a big dog with an even bigger heart.

Dewey loves food, whenever he's around food his teeth start getting stuck on his lips. He constantly has the zoomies and he'll bounce off the bed. Dewey is full of life and energy. He loves crinkle toys, and we've noticed he prefers any toy that's red. He also loves being outside. We bought him an outdoor bed but he definitely prefers laying in the dirt.

Dewey is currently suffering from Baclofen toxicity after chewing on the bottle. We rushed him to the vet within minutes. He's being treated at an emergency clinic and receiving 24 hour ICU care. Dewey is receiving oxygen from nasoesophageal tube and receiving constant IV meds. Dewey has a catheter to measure urine output. He is also getting labs repeated every couple of hours.

We have currently paid $9,500 for Deweys care but he is not ready to come home yet. Dewey has not gotten to experience all the incredible things life has to offer. I saved dewey to give him a second chance. Dewey being healthy again would be the biggest blessing.
