About this campaign
Dewey was rescued from under my house when he was about 5 weeks old. My kids were outside playing and heard him crying because his tail was stuck. Once I saw him I, I knew he was home.
He is honestly like one of my kids. He keeps everyone entertained from the kids to my mom. He is most important to my 3rd oldest son. He is the one who found him. He has some emotional issues so for him Dewey is moreso an emotional support animal.
Dewey is more than a pet. He is family. There is never a dull moment when he is around. And no matter what he always makes you smile on even on your darkest days.
Dewey has a broken shoulder that cannot be fixed with a splint. He has to have surgery to either repair or amputate it. I would love to repair it but it would be almost $7000 because it has to be done by a board certified surgeon and I would never be able to afford that.
Roughly four weeks ago me and my 4th son suffered injuries. He broke his hand and I broke my ankle. Taking off time for appointments for both of us has caused me to miss a lot of work that was unpaid and it put an extreme financial strain on my sole income.
