Dexter is a 5-year-old Sharpei-Basset Hound Mix in Fairborn, OH, who needs $2,000 for CrCL.

Dexter and his brother Conley were found on a Friday in the middle of January. We tracked down the original owners, but she had re-homed them and did not have the information of the man she re-homed them to. Thus we brought them into our home with our three other dogs. We took them to the vet and they need a serious amount of attention, with Dexter needing an ACL surgery.

Dexter acts like he has always been one of the family. He enjoys playing and carrying on with the other dogs and is always looking to receive some loving from his owners.

Dexter is a very special pup. He is very loving and is always looking for a pet. He really cares about Conley, and you can tell that by how Dexter always is looking for and protecting Conley.

Dexter is currently running around the house on three legs. He has an injured back left leg that needs an ACL surgery. We had a consult at MedVet in Moraine, and thats who will be doing the surgery, but we are open to more economically friendly options.

Just to be able to see Dexter run and not be hobbling around the house would be a blessing. It's very evident it hurts him all of the time. To allow him the freedom to play with our other dogs would be such a blessing.
