Dexter is a 6-year-old English Bulldog in Holiday, FL, who needs $2,000 for Total Ear Canal Abrasion.

He wants to be friends with every being he encounters, but our sweet boy is facing a tough road. Dexter was seen for ear infection in May, and treatment began. After multiple visits, numerous rounds of various antibiotics, and testing, there was no improvement. Ultimately, we discovered that Dexter has a birth defect. He needs his complete ear canal removed.

He is a rescue. We like to say he rescued us. Before he became ill and in a lot of pain he was a light of our lives. Full of energy and joy. His favorite thing is to go to the dog park to meet new friends and play in the backyard with his toys and his two sisters that are 11 and 12. AKA human girls.

This is a very simple answer. He brings our family together. Simple as that. He is a complete joy to be around when he's feeling good. And he absolutely has not met anyone he doesn't like. He also loves to have conversations with you he is a very much a talker. Not barking talking LOL. He also does believe that he is human.

In May we went to his doctor for ear infection after multiple different treatments and test. It has come to our attention that he has a birth defect in his ear canal and now requires total ear canal abrasion. Before this infection consumes his body. And I can't bring myself to say what happens after that.

As we all know with the economy everything has gone up dramatically. We barely live paycheck to paycheck. I have maxed out my Care credit card for his previous appointments and medication.
