Dexter is a 11 year old Mix-Breed in Largo , FL, who needs $800 for Chemotherapy, Ultrasound Recheck, Lomustine.

I adopted Dexter 11 years ago. I had recently ended a relationship, moved into my very own place and felt lonely. I never had cats growing up but always wanted one so now was my time. I made the rookie mistake of just going to “look” at available cats. Came home with Dexter. He has been with me since. He was there when I started dating my now husband and when we had our first human baby

2 years ago, Dexter’s started throwing up more than usual one day. Called the vet and they asked if he had gone to the bathroom. My husband checked the box and said no. We were told to immediately go to VEG. There they did an ultrasound and saw a mass on his intestine and sent us to blue pearl. The oncologist confirmed it was cancer.

Dexter has been with me through everything. Including being right by my side when I was having contractions. If our little one is upset or sick, Dexter is right there checking on everyone. If he is not with us, he is sunbathing on his screened in patio

After beginning chemo treatments for Dexter, he then developed anemia. We have had biweekly appointments for both, medication that is given everyday. It all helps! He is acting like himself; running around and playing! But financially, we are struggling.
