Dexter is a 11 month old German Shepherd Dog in Ruckersville, VA, who needs $1,700 for IV and Observation.

Dexter came into my life one morning when I found him in the cold wondering around. He would not stop following me so I just couldn't leave him due to possibility of wild animals getting him because he was just a puppy. I had him checked for chip but no results and no postings for lost dogs. He has 3 sisters in our household, another shepherd, husky, and maltese.

Dexter has been an extremely healthy puppy until this morning when we awoke to blood all over the floor and vomiting. We took him to VETSS urgent care in Charlottesville, VA,. Parvo test was negative. We found a few chewed up pieces of a soccer ball from the previous day laying on the floor. He is still there getting treatment. He may have to be taken to greenbrier clinic if he's not better today.

Dexter is a one of kind pup, very outgoing and has a tremendous bond with his 3 sisters. He is very loving, loves to talk, and play. My bond with him has been been extremely strong. He will alow me to get out of his sight and goes crazy when I come home. He will jump in your lap and give you that sad look, just to get you to pull him up beside you.

While living on a fixed income with no backup funds except what we have in bank. With the first bill possibly being 1600.00. I don't know what greenbrier vet is gonna charge. We are running out. I lost a shepherd puppy to seizures 2 yrs ago and do not want to lose this baby.
