About this campaign
Diamond Princess came into our family when she was 4 weeks old. ). Diamond Princess got her name because her black fur was so shiny when I got her, and her eyes always had a sparkle in them. I immediately said shiny like a Diamond. Now that her eyesight is gone that sparkle is no longer. Princess is her middle name because she is my little princess, she would prance around the house.
Until Diamond lost her eyesight, she would go to my son’s room doors and scratch because she wanted to sleep with either one of them. She would choose each night who she wanted to spend the night with. As Diamond got older, she began to sleep with me more often. She has her own pillow and blanket at the foot of each of our beds so wherever she decides to lay her head that is where she sleeps.
Diamond is definitely the baby of the family, and she knows that she is. Diamond is truly my 3rd child she has been with me through many events like my move from Georgia to California. I am in the Army and had to drive across the country for my next duty station in California and Diamond did so well with the 4-day drive.
Diamond Princess was diagnosed with Diabetes in January of 2023 she developed Cataract in both eyes by April 2023 and is now totally blind in both eyes Banfield Pet Hospital Murrieta CA is her veterinarian, Animal Eye Vet Murrieta CA is her opthamologist
Cataract removal surgery is expensive. I cannot afford to pay for it myself. I am single and only have one income. I have overextended my credit cards with all of the insulin, syringes and extra vet visits. Since she has already been diagnosed, she does not qualify for
