Diego is a 8-year-old Blue Healer/German Sheppard in Edgewood, WA, who needs $2,000 for surgery for melanoma .

Diego was given to us from my son Tyler, he rescued him from an abusive aquantence. He used to have nightly nightmares but rarely has them now. We have had him for 5+ years. He also has a younger brother that we bought from a rescue shelter a little over a year ago. They very much enjoy playing together.

Diego & his brother Marley both like to sleep in our bedroom in their own beds next to ours. Deigo loves to swim (he cries when you tell him it's time to go), play ball, go for rides, walks, camping & playing with Marley. He's a daddy's boy until he get scared then he's becomes a mommas boy. Each morning the 1st thing he does is go outside & must patrol the property to make sure its safe.

I also have stage 3 breast cancer. Currently going through 2nd round of chemo, just finished radiation & 3rd surgery, 2 more to go. Cancer is very expensive. To say the least this has truly been the worst year of our lives with my cancer, covid 19 & now Diego's cancer.

Diego has melanoma on his upper right lip. So far we have already paid more than $2,900 out of our pocket & cannot afford the surgery that will be required to get him healthy again. We have to raise enough money in order to pay for his surgery, I cannot lose him, especially right now. He's my baby. He's being treated at Blue Pearl in Tacoma, WA.

Deigo is very afraid of loud noises such as fireworks or thunder. He becomes a mommas boy when he gets scared. He is the smartest & best dog we have ever had and love him & his brother so much. Diego also loves to chew 2 trees anytime you open or close the electric garage doors (he's very unique). He also insist on sleeping under the reclined couch so we cannot close it.
