Diesel is a 10 year old German Shepherd Dog in Alto, NM, who needs $2,000 for Cat Scan and 18 Radiation Treatments.

Diesel came into me, and my wife's lives 10 years ago when I was stationed in the Air Force in Georgia. Since then he has been an amazing companion to our lives and my son and daughter love him. We also have 2 other dogs that we rescued as well.

Diesel had been diagnosed with a mass cell tumor in 2016 and has remained cancer free up until now. Last month we noticed a lump again on his nose and it has been diagnosed as a squamaous cell carcinoma and will require radiation treatment again. I will be travelling to Southwest Veterinary Oncology for 3 weeks and will have to find a place to stay for treatment.

Diesel loves the water. My son and daughter love playing with him with the water hose. He also loves his tennis balls. We play every day and that's what he loves to do. He is very loyal and won't leave our side. He is probably the most caring dog that I have met. Being that it is a tumor, radiation has a great outcome and if I can help him, I will try all I can.

Diesels first treatment in 2016 was $7000.00. Since then, we got insurance but now being out of the military it is too far to travel to the initial hospital. This treatment will be $13000.00 and will have to cover housing and travel. Insurance will only cover $5000.00
