Dillinger was rescued from the mean streets of Philadelphia, nearly 10 years ago. He was hungry, and heartbroken by the family who tossed him aside. He ended up in a cage, in a local shelter. Despite his cruel circumstances, he always managed to purr, and give affection to any human who paid attention to him. The first time I held him, in the shelter, he wrapped his paws around my neck. He clung to me with his best kitty hug. I knew then and there he could never spend another night alone in that shelter. He came home with me that day.
