Dixie Belle the Volunteer Dog is a 12-year-old Chihuahua in Sycamore, IL, who needs $2,000 for Urgent Dental Care.

Dixie Belle inspired so many people with her zest for life and affection for others that her human mom, Phyllis L., founded "The Dixie Belle Project." It's a nonprofit organization that provides necessities for nursing home residents, and Dixie Belle is the star of the show.

"She has visited hospice and nursing homes since she was 85 days old," Phyllis tells Waggle.

Dixie Belle now needs some help herself. The sweet Chi has mitral valve heart disease and needs dental surgery. Because of her condition, she needs to see a specialist. Phyllis can't afford the bill. These two have done so much to give back -- they're hoping you'll give so Dixie Belle can get the care she needs!

"After many friends reached out and asked how to help, the veterinarian sent me a link to Waggle," Phyllis says. "All funds will go directly into Dixie's account. We want to say thank you in advance. Dixie doesn't just belong to me but also to the people she has visited all around the world."
