About this campaign
Dixie was a rescue puppy from Kentucky in September 2011 my son rescued her she is amazing dog and so curious of her sniffed out world around her I have cared for her when my son couldn’t for military reasons and work she is my dogs wife so to speak they are a old married couple she loves my son so much ! She is loyal trusty girl !!
Dixie is well loved and my dog Owen would be lost with out her she has a great pack of fur best friends that walk and sniff out their world around them together they are all happy dogs when they are together and Dixie is a great alarm dog and protects our small apartment from all humans and other dogs in her beagle bloodhound howl !!
Dixie has the best towel of both being a beagle and a bloodhound and she absolutely loves to sniff out her surroundings that’s what she does best and when my five-year-old grandson comes over to the house she goes right up on the couch and sits beside him just like she does with her favorite human my son
Dixie was diagnosed on May 23 with lymphoma at first we thought it was Lyme disease but unfortunately it turned out being cancer and seeing that she will be 12 years old in August I’m not sure my finances can afford chemotherapy for her I don’t think it would be fair. But then guilt plays a role in it too that I can’t afford to give her something that might give her a chance to live another year
I am a 7D school bus driver for special needs and have been laid off for the summer and waiting for unemployment to start and right now just for one visit alone with bloodwork for Dixie it’s close to $1000 which I don’t have and I have a care credit card that is maxed out
