Hello! My name is Lisa. I found Dixie on Craigslist when she was just 1 year old. She was living in a bad situation so I drove through the snow & sleet 3 hours away one way just to get her.
Last week, I noticed a large tumor on her right hind ankle. I took her to the vet the next morning, and after a total of 3 different vets, the 3rd vet finally said "yes, it's a tumor, and it looks like cancer.

Dixie sleeps in bed with me. She is the most loving & friendly dog I have ever owned. She wouldn't bite a flea! She accepted my 2 cats, whom I rescued, right from the start. And she won't even try to hurt my bunny, Pebbles, when she's out getting her medicine. Dixie also accepted my rescue dog Layla, who is smaller than her. Dixie doesn't show aggression at all. She obeys commands, and is the best

Dixie's favorite person is my son. He is sick right now, and she always wants to be near him when he's awake or sick. Dixie will go to the door when she has to go potty. When I'm eating, Dixie barks in a way that only she could, trying to get me to give in. If Dixie thinks I'm mad at her, she will wink at me. She once drug my son through horse maneur after getting lose, while trying to catch her!

Dixie possibly has cancer. The vet tried to aspirate the tumor, to no luck. Done blood work. Her liver values are over 1,100, not supposed to be over 200. So only choice is surgery to biopsy & remove the tumor. Vets name & location are included in the photos. Along with the estimate. Please help me help my Dixie girl.

Have spent over $3,000 total on my bunny, who is sick, and Dixie. I have exhausted my savings. I am on a fixed income, as I'm disabled. If I could have this surgery for Dixie, she would be saving my life just like I once saved hers. I would give you 1 million $$ if I had it.
