Dixie is a 7-year-old Black and Tan Coonhound in Sherman, CT, who needs $500 for UTI.

I got Dixie from a shelter i volunterred at for 4 years. I begged my parents to adopt her because we had a special bond the moment we set eyes on eachother. She is currentlt with me at a homeless shelter when i faced eviction. She is a people pleaser and loves being around with humans.

Dixie always loved being outdoor wether it was fetching balls in the water or catching sticks. She loves playing with toys to keep herself busy. Dixie loves getting the attention she wants. Shes really great with anyone including little kids. I trained her when she was 4 months old and she knows alot of smart tricks. She will use those tricks to get what she wants wether its human food or treats.

Dixie is a special dog to me. She does her little thing where after she is done with her bath wash, she rolls herself over to the couch to dry off quicker. She loves to talk alot to get ur attention. She loves belly rubs and putting her whole body on you to cuddle and sleep. She must always be touching you before falling asleep.

Im seeking help because dixies behavior has changed. Shes going under the bed and whining alot which she has never done in 7 years of her life. I noticed shes starting to possibly have a UTI infection and peeing/licking her bottom even when she was taken out for a long walk. Im worried that its affecting her behavior.

I lost my job a month ago and do not make any income. I also lost my home due to evicition and unable to cover the costs of her vet bills. We currently are living at a homeless shelter. I want dixie to be back to her self and i feel bad that shes not feeling well:(
