Meet Diya, \_her story is one we wish we never had to tell.\_

She was brutally beaten by a drunk man with a stick - an act of violence witnessed by locals who were left in shock. The attack was so severe that her eye was violently forced completely out of its socket.

A kind citizen refused to look away and contacted us immediately. We rushed to bring Diya into our care but the trauma she has endured is devastating.

She was lying there, trembling, in unbearable pain. One look at her face told us how severe the attack had been. \_It’s something no living being should ever have to endure.\_

Diya is now under our care, receiving pain relief and close monitoring. But this is only the beginning of what she needs.

Diya urgently requires surgery to close her eye socket. Without it, she is at high risk of infection, prolonged suffering, and further complications. This procedure \_is not optional, it is necessary\_ to give her even a chance at recovery.

We need to raise $1000 to cover the cost of her urgent surgery and medical care.

6/17/26 Update: Diya's Road to Recovery

Diya was one of the hardest cruelty cases we had to witness. She was brutally beaten by a drunk man with a stick - an act of violence witnessed by locals who were left in shock. The attack was so severe that her eye was violently forced completely out of its socket.

Thanks to your support and to our team of highly skilled vets, we were able to successfully perform surgery to remove her eye. You can see Diya's photos after her surgery above. Diya is now healing, despite having very limited vision, she will become a permanent member of Pawsitive Sanctuary where she is surrounded by love and care.
