Dobby is a 6-year-old Shih Tzu in Terryville, CT, who needs $2,000 for IMHA Treatment.

Micaela adopted Dobby when he was 6 months old. Then when Micaela moved in with Colton Dobby was 4 years old. Dobby loves his house and huge backyard and getting love from his mommy and daddy, his kitty sister Kiara, and his grandma, grammy and grampy when they visit. It isn't home without Dobby here.

Dobby spends every waking moment with his mommy and daddy. He hates when we are out of his sight and will sit on our laps so we can't move. He sleeps with us in bed every night, follows us around when we go to the restroom or when we are cooking dinner. He loves his walks in the backyard and chewing on his bully sticks or getting his treats and doing tricks.

We've already spent thousands for Dobby's treatment and he will still need procedures going forward. Dobby is a special pup and he doesn't deserve to be going through this. He is only 6 and has a long life ahead of him.

Dobby was diagnosed with Immune-mediated hemolytic anemia (IMHA) in January of 2019. He recovered completely in the summer of 2019, but it came back. Dobby's immune system attacks his red blood cells. There is no trigger and it can happen at anytime. Dobby has had 3 transfusions at Pieper Vet and has been there for over a week. He will be on immune system meds for the rest of his life.

Dobby is the biggest lovebug that there is. He is such a pillar in our house, he is always there to put a smile on our faces and give us a kiss or snuggle when we need it. He is such a sweetheart and melts everyone's hearts when they get to spend time with him. He is something special and makes our household whole.
