I found Dodger when he was approximately 8 months old, roaming the parking lot at work. Since I found him, I have been working on getting him healthy. Initially, I took him to Front Street Animal Shelter and was told they did not have room for him, so I kept him. Since then, we have become attached at the hip. He is a happy dog who just wants to cuddle and play all day!

Dodger is an only dog; he does have kitty siblings whom, he drives absolutely crazy. But they are slowly warming up to him. Dodger is a tank of a dog and does not know his own strength, but he would never intentionally harm anyone or anything. He is a snuggle bug and happiest when allowed under the covers!

I was unsuccessful in finding his owners, so I began working to ensure he was healthy and cared for. Dodger and I bonded very quickly. I work for a nonprofit organization and make enough money to care for his basic needs, including food, shelter, and preventative care. I do not make enough money for these extenuating circumstances. Dodger is just a baby and deserves to live a long life.

Earlier this week, Dodger started throwing up and could not stop. He was rushed to the animal hospital and had to have xrays and injections. He was sent home with instructions not to eat, and to return the next day. The two days of treatment have added up to over $1200. His treatment has started, but I do not make enough money to keep up with medical expenses.

I work for a nonprofit and do not make enough money to cover these emergencies comfortably. I was not in the market for a dog when I found Dodger, but now that I have him, I cannot fathom a life without him. He is a joy to everyone he meets.
