Doggie is a 18 year old Yorkshire Terrier in Pearland, TX, who needs $4,000 for Emergency Wound Debridement & Treatment.

I rescued this sweet Yorkie after finding him wandering alone in Houston. He was extremely thin, covered in painful wounds, and had no microchip. I’ve only had him a few days, but he has already become part of my family. I also have another dog, Eva, so I’ve been keeping them separated while he receives treatment and begins to heal. I haven’t had him long enough to choose his forever name yet.

After rescuing him, I took him to a veterinarian where I learned he has extensive wounds across his back with dead and infected tissue that requires ongoing wound care, bandage changes, medications, and possible surgical treatment. He is currently being treated through PetCare Express and has been referred for additional veterinary care because of the severity of his injuries.

Even after everything he’s endured, He remains gentle, loving, and incredibly strong. He follows me everywhere, rests beside me while I change his bandages, and still wags his tail. Despite his pain, he never gives up. Watching him learn to trust again has been inspiring. He deserves a chance to heal and be loved.
