About this campaign
Hi my name is Angela and this is for my cat Dolce. Dolce was found in the streets when she was about 6 weeks old. I never had a cat but I knew I needed to save her. She is now almost 14 years old. She is a very sweet and cuddly kitty that has lived a great and healthy life. I am a single working mother to a sweet 8 year old girl who loves her kitty.
Dolce has always been a little shy but she is a very sweet loving kitty when she feels comfortable. Every night when I get in bed she pops up next to me for good night pets. Then she gets confused between my feet and sleeps the whole night. She wakes me up every morning around 6 to eat. When my daughter is at school Dolce lays on her bed waiting for her to come home.
Dolce gets a little nervous around crowds. When she was younger she figured out how to slide the closet door open. Ever since when we have company and she gets nervous, she goes to her safe place. The closet! She is often referred to as the closet cat because other than immediate family no one ever sees her.
A week ago she started feeling ill. She was vomiting This went on for 2 days and I took her to see our veterinarian. Blood work came back normal. 4 days later back to the vet when she stopped eating and drinking. She was dehydrated and admitted. An X-ray showed an intestinal blockage but it was unknown what it was. Surgery showed inflamed lymph nodes. We need a biopsy.
A year ago I lost my job as a law enforcement officer that I had been at for 10 years due to a major medical issue of my own. I found a new job that does not pay nearly what I use to make. I have been doing my best to make ends meet. Losing my fur baby would be added stress.
