Poor Dolly! The cast on her broken leg is larger than she is!

"When we adopted her at 11 weeks old, she weighed 1.3 pounds," Steven G., Dolly's human dad, tells Waggle. "She has been a happy, healthy baby since. Today somehow, she broke her radius and ulna. The veterinarians at Mortons Small Animal Clinic did X-rays and found both bones broken."

Now Dolly needs surgery to fix her leg, but Steven can't afford the operation, and the procedure must be done in the next week. It's a gut-wrenching situation because Steven and his family love Dolly so much. "She loves to be carried around by mom and dad," he says. "When it's bedtime, she has to sleep under the covers. She loves to cuddle with you. She loves to play with her little stuffed bears, throwing them up in the air and trying to catch them. When she is sad, she will cry real tears. It's heartbreaking."
