About this campaign
We got Dolly from the shelter when she was 8 weeks old. She was the last kitten left and all by herself so we brought her home with us. She was instantly happy here at home. I have no idea where she came from but I’ll always remember her all alone in that cage, the only kitten to not get adopted at the shelter.
Dolly is a very sweet and loving cat, but our daughter Madeleine (4) is clearly her favorite. Maddie is always playing with Dolly with the laser pointer, or chasing a string. We actually had to put a gate up on Maddie’s bedroom doorway so that a Dolly wouldn’t keep her up all night. She would love to snuggle with her all night long! So instead she sleeps on my feet.
Dolly is the worst hunter ever even though she tries. She is also quite testy if you don’t give her the attention she demands. You might get your feet attacked if you don’t give her belly rubs. She rolls on her back just begging someone to pet her super soft fuzzy belly. Sometimes she runs back and forth from one end of the house to the other, pretending something is chasing her!
Dolly has been throwing up more and more and now it’s every day. She has been dewormed and switched to the best food bit it’s getting worse. The vet needs to do an X-ray and blood work to see what’s wrong bit it costs $750 and we just don’t have any spare cash right now. She is being treated at All 4 Paws in Suisun.
We just had our second baby and also quit our jobs to work on our new small business full time. We are super pressed financially and can’t even make rent on time. We just can’t afford an $800 bill or what could be an even bigger bill depending on what the X-ray finds
