About this campaign

Dom came into our lives by showing up in our yard in May 2018. My aunt called and asked if we got a German Shepard, because there was one running around our yard. Our daughter went outside and there he was. Dom's owner was looking for him in the park, he came and got Dom. About a week later he was knocking on our door asking if we wanted Dom because he could no longer keep him.

Dom has a perineal hernia. If it grows any bigger it can grow around his intestines and bladder, cutting off his ability to use the bathroom. No veterinarians in our area does that type of surgery that Dom needs. The closest veterinary that does the surgery is Blackford Veterinary Hospital in Knoxville Tennessee, which is about two hours away.

Dom came into our lives at a very difficult time. He along with my other dog Benny has helped me through some difficult times. When Dom get to know you he is a big baby. He likes to run around in the yard and patrol the perimeter. He also likes to help my husband to work on cars and likes to steal tools. Dom also enjoys watching baseball games in the park below our house.

This is an unexpected expense that needs to be taken care of as soon as possible. Dom and my other fur baby are my comfort, companion, and protectors. It would mean everything for Dom to be able to live the rest of his life without discomfort and pain. Thank you so much.
