About this campaign
Dom graced his presence into my life when he was only 2 months old along with his brother, Ollie. Fast forward to today, I have two amazing 8-year old boys who are such a light in my life. As someone who lives alone, Dom and his brother have been everything I could have ever imagined. These two Shih Tzus have been my biggest joy.
Dom is the staple of my family. Sometimes, I like to think his heart is too big for his little body because he radiates love. He absolutely loves attention (especially from his abuela) and is so kind. There isn't a day where Dom is forgotten about and he is shown an immense amount a love. As typical Dom behavior, he returns that love 10x.
Dom is so so special to me. He is incredibly intuitive and just so smart. He loves to love! My other pup, Ollie, was the rut of the litter. Since the day the two of them were born, Dom assumed the role of Ollie's big brother and navigated him from climbing up stairs together, playing, and even how to get my attention to go outside!
Dom is truly a fighter and survivor. At age 8, he faced many health challenges in the last few years -- Evan's syndrome. However, a bladder stone stuck in his urethra is threatening his life. He received an emergency surgery to remove 15 bladder stones; however, surgeons were unable to remove the one remaining in his urethra - making this now life threatening.
In less than a week, my family and I have paid over $7,000 in his emergency surgery, medication expenses, and hospital stays. We are exhausted all our resources but continue to do everything in our ability to come up with the means so Dom can continue to live his life.
