At 7 months old, Donovan has endured cruelty that forever altered his life and body. Poor guy has chemical burn wounds from his forehead all down his back. The only thing we know about him is that he was found wandering as a stray, and that he’s incredibly sweet.

He was picked up from a local shelter and dropped off at the ER for ongoing care. Fortunately, his wounds look fairly pink and healthy, and there doesn’t appear to be an active infection at this time.

Donovan's been at the ER for several days getting wound care and had surgery this week to close up his wounds. He was also neutered while he was under anesthesia. He has one large incision down his back right now and the wounds on his head are expected to heal on their own with time.

Donovan is not the first burn victim we have helped, and he sadly won’t be the last. Cruelty is all around us, but so is compassion and opportunity. We’re beyond honored to help dogs like Donovan, and we thank you all for supporting our mission and efforts.
