About this campaign

We bought our baby "Dottie" from a family that continually breeded their dogs and had an overcrowding situation in their home. We chose to pay them after we were decline a rescue from a shelter for not having a fenced property even though we are in the country. Dottie has a wonderful home full of love! We are on 5 acres with woods and a lake and she loves to be outdoors!

Dottie has an older sister named Ladybug. They play regularly but like any sisters they like to argue as well. Dotties dad is retired so they are together all day everyday. Dottie loves playing with our grandkids especially Braxton who is 11 and they have an exceptionally close relationship. Dottie is always so excited to meet anyone...she does not know a stranger.

Our Dottie is so sweet and lovable. She truly believes that she is a lap dog. She is on the smaller size (about 50 lbs) so she usually does end up on our lap or at least in the same chair. She does not like to be alone so we always try to make sure that someone is with her so she is comfortable and happy. She has a floppy tongue and is always giving kisses.

Dottie is spayed and has always had regular vet visits and has always been healthy and then...out of the blue Dottie started running a fever and was lethargic! We rushed her to the hospital and they have determined she has pancreatitis. In addition the doctors feel like she was bitten by a poisonous spider and has developed cellulitis and vasculitis. This was a shock to us.

I just started working again after being unemployed for a year and my husband is on social security. Our family is just not complete without our baby. The thought of her sick and in pain is causing distress....we love her so much and just need her to be well and home.
