Adopted Doug as a puppy. He is 8 months old and our family dog. We recently moved into this house in December. I have 5 children who love him dearly. He was his by a car in front of our house and we witnessed this.

He is currently at Countryside Vet Clinic in Junction City Oregon. Hit by a vehicle at approximately 35 mph he wanted to say hi to neighbors. Ran out the door when I opened it.
Pneumothorax with lung contusions, femur joint fracture, bone exposed at the hock joint.
He had hip joint surgery and amputation today.

He’s a young happy German shepherd loves strangers, other animals, and every child. Very friendly and so excited to meet everyone. Very cuddly and happy to please us.

Our family moved homes in December to be closer to work I’’m a nurse in a skilled facility various kinds of patients conditions. Moving here I used our savings to do so. Douglas getting hit by a vehicle was on 1/11/26 he first vet spending over 2500$ overnight.
