Dovah is a 12 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in North Adams, MA, who needs $400 for Sedation & Surgery, Drain re-check, Remove stitches.

We got Dovah - along w/ her sister, Dixie - almost 13 yrs. ago. (They were always together until Dixie passed away from cancer.) We own our house in North Adams...

Dovah was attacked by a dog that was being walked by our house. The person w/ the dog wasn't able to control her dog very well. She is homeless & has no money -and now is not speaking to us! Dovah needed emergency surgery to sew up 2 deep lacerations btwn. her throat & shoulder. She had to have stitches in both the muscle & skin. She needed a 24 hr. follow-up, and then the drain tubing fell out!

Dovah is a friendly dog. She has to warm up some though before feeling that everything is ok... She has been a little lonely ever since her sister, Dixie, passed away in June.

We are both on a fixed income, Soc. Sec., plus a little more thru Meals On Wheels as substitute drivers. And I work during tax season as a tax preparer, but don't have that except during tax season. We have a small amt. of Care Credit, but were denied a credit increase.
