I rescued Dozo a year ago and he quickly became my constant shadow. We live in Maine and usually share a very active lifestyle. Since his knee injury, everything has shifted. Our days are now entirely focused on managing his pain and keeping him comfortable until surgery

Dozo suffered a painful knee injury diagnosed as Medial Patellar Luxation (MPL). His kneecap is dislocating, completely halting his active life. He is scheduled for specialized MPL surgery on May 14th at Androscoggin Animal Hospital. The surgery and recovery costs are substantial, so we are just keeping him comfortable until then

Dozo isn’t just a pet to me, he’s the absolute emotional center of my world. What makes him so incredibly special is his intuitive, gentle nature perfectly mixed with a goofy, fun-loving spirit. You can’t help but smile when you see him looking up at you with that one ear always standing straight up at attention. His everyday behavior is a mix of being a total cuddle bug and an eager adventurer!

The sudden cost of Dozo's surgery is beyond our reach. My top priority is ending his pain. Having him healthy means everything. I just want my happy shadow back—running in the yard and playing with his friends. We appreciate any support!
