About this campaign

We purchased Draco from our local Animal Shelter when he was 8 weeks old as an Emotional Support Cat for my daughter who has been in two mental hospital from a traumatic event in her life. Draco is now 6 months old and the best decision we made was to save him. He also saved my daughter. I have seen her go from crying all the time to a happy teenager.

Draco knows when she needs him. He will crawl up on her lap and rub her face, he lays in the crease of her neck to comfort her. I never thought a cat could do so much for one person. I see a smile on her face finally for the first time in months. You would think he was human the way he loves her and vice versa.

Draco has put life back into my daughter. She smiles instead of cries and if she does get upset, just seeing him makes it all better for her. I have had to homeschool her this last semester and now she is finally looking forward to going back to public school. Of course with her cat if she could. Draco is perfect for her.

Draco was diagnosed with FIP. We thought for sure we were going to lose him. But then we heard about the GS drug that has been saving so many cats. We had to try to do what we can so we are begging for help. We have had so.e donations from some amazing families. We couldn't begin to show the amount of appreciation we have for them.

The medicine is over $2000 and we are paying what we can. I have said I would rather my family sends my Christmas back to help pay for the medicine.y husband was recently laid off from his job for the winter.
