About this campaign

Draco is a cherished part of our family and was our first pet, given to me as a graduation gift when I was 18. His sweet personality and energy brought joy to our lives and inspired us to adopt another cat and a dog, who are now inseparable. At just under 2 years old, it’s heartbreaking to see him in pain. He’s not just a pet; he’s family, and we’re doing all we can to help him recover.

Draco struggled to urinate before his vet visit, hadn’t eaten or drunk in 48 hours, and grew lethargic, twitching, and vocalizing in pain. Diagnosed with a critical urinary obstruction, he was rushed to Mission Animal Hospital, where he received IV fluids, pain relief, and a catheter to flush his bladder of crystals causing the blockage. He’s still in treatment, but his recovery isn’t guaranteed.

Draco is more than a pet—he’s my comfort and constant support during the challenges of nursing school, always by my side during late nights and stressful moments. His loving, playful nature brings joy to everyone in the family. He greets us with warmth, seeks out cuddles, and has a way of making each day brighter. Draco’s deep bond with us makes him an irreplaceable part of our lives.

As a 19-year-old nursing student, balancing expenses is tough. My income barely covers essentials like tuition, rent, and school supplies. I live with my grandparents, who are on a fixed income, and unfortunately we can’t afford the urgent care that Draco currently needs.
