Drako is a 4-year-old American Pit Bull in Xenia, OH, who needs $2,000 for Surgery.

It was fate...After years of begging and pleading Dakota's (Drako's Human) mom finally gave in and said he could get a puppy. They planned a trip to the shelter for the next day. That same night while walking home Dakota found Drako by a dumpster behind the Dollar Store.He was covered in fleas and ticks,malnourished, and to young to be away from his mom. From that day on they have been bestfriends

I'll admit he's a little spoiled at home but it just because he is loved so very much by his family. Drako's dad takes him everywhere with him. If he can't bring his baby he's not coming. They spend a lot of time outside fishing,hiking,or simply playing. When bedtime comes you'll find Drako curled up right next to his human and it's clear neither of them would have it any other way.

Drako has two best friends Aurora and Champ they are the 3 musketeers. They spend a lot of time together whether they running around the backyard,playing tug of war, wrestling, or just curled up taking a nap they love being together. Both his besties are much bigger than him but he's brave and confident, he doesn't miss a beat playing along side of them. The love is real between those three.

While camping with his family Drako sadly swallowed a fishing hook with a piece of chicken left on it that someone carelessly left laying around. He was rushed to the nearest vet and had an x-ray and it showed the hook lodged by his ribs. It could shift at anytime and would be detrimental to his health. This would be a one time surgery to remove the hook before it's to late.

Drako's human is only 16 and the family is on a fixed income. We have reached out to several organizations with no luck. The family just can't afford it. Dakota(Drakos Human) would be deviated to loose him, he's waited his whole life for him he's his bestfriend.
