Drew is a 8-year-old Newfoundland in Nassau, NY, who needs $2,000 for Removal of Tumor.

We got Drew as a rescue when he was 2 yrs. old. He had been in several different homes before we got him and was very withdrawn. We have had him 6 yrs. and he has come a long way with us. We have 3 other rescues, a dachshund, Carin terrier and Great Pyrenees. He is the alpha dog but they all get along. He always greets you when you come home with a stuffed toy.

He likes to go on walks and loves the water. Loves the cold weather and enjoys playing in the snow. He loves my cinnamon bread and comes running every time the fridge opens.

When dinner is done he barks until all the food is put away(hoping to get a treat). He sleeps at the foot of my bed for a short while then gets too hot so retires to the tile floor. He loves to go out with me to feed the birds and squirrels and never scares them.

I am retired, on a fixed income and have had some other unexpected medical issues with 2 of my dogs. Drew has had this tumor for several months now and it is very hard for him to eat. He has to chew on one side. I grind up all his food and he is there ready to eat.
